From Moscow Accusations to Death in Moscow: Where Was Vučić’s State?

GP Solidarity asks Aleksandar Vučić, in his capacity as Chairman of the National Security Council, what he and this body have done in recent months to timely protect the holders of state interests at the most sensitive point in Serbia–Russia relations.
As early as May of this year, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation publicly and officially accused companies of the Republic of Serbia, particularly Jugoimport SDPR, of “stabbing Russia in the back,” thereby obliging the Serbian state to immediately activate its security and defense mechanisms.
The death of the head of Jugoimport SDPR’s representative office in Moscow, Radomir Kurtić, the disappearance of official documentation from the office premises, and the weeks-long absence of official reports from Russian authorities cannot be viewed separately from the actions of the SVR. Situations of this kind are resolved through formal requests only in colonies.
We therefore ask whether the Republic of Serbia summoned the Ambassador of the Russian Federation for urgent consultations and demanded full answers and investigative findings; whether it insisted on the inclusion of Serbian experts in the investigation into the death of Radomir Kurtić; and if not, whether Serbia conducts a sovereign policy at all, or continues to accept silence out of fear and dependency.
