The Citizens’ Movement Solidarity marks Victory Day in Europe with pride, but also with an awareness of the historical and contemporary challenges that shape and unite us as a society. On this day, exactly 80 years ago, the world celebrated the final victory over National Socialism in the Second World War. This date forever reminds us of the price that the peoples of Europe and the world paid for freedom, dignity, and human rights, as well as of our obligation never to allow the evil of National Socialism to be repeated.

Victory Day is not merely a commemoration—it is also a call to action. An invitation to choose justice, democracy, and solidarity. We believe that the majority of citizens of Serbia share these values and are ready to finally confront the deceptions that have excluded us from the European community of states for years.

We believe the time has come for the citizens of Serbia to take responsibility and decide the future of their country. On Victory Day, we choose freedom. And that is our victory.
