Serbia is currently facing the deepest political, institutional, and social crisis since the introduction of the multi-party system. This is not Solidarity’s assessment; it is the daily reality that millions of Serbian citizens are struggling to survive.

From the tragedy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad, through all the controversies surrounding investigations into crimes connected to the regime, to yesterday’s decision to dismiss the indictment against Veselin Milić, the citizens of Serbia increasingly see that justice is not equal for everyone. That institutions no longer function in the interest of the state. That they have been transformed into an extended arm of a single center of power. That governance is being carried out with the help of groups whose origins and sources of funding are, at the very least, highly questionable.

For years, Serbia has been moving toward ever deeper problems, while Europe continues to move further ahead. No new negotiating chapters are being opened. Reports from European institutions record the same problems year after year: rule of law, media freedom, corruption, and democracy. The same chapters, the same conclusions, zero progress.

Public trust in the judiciary, the prosecution service, the police, and public broadcasters has completely collapsed. Not by accident, not through negligence, but by design.

The damage inflicted upon Serbia will require decades of recovery just to return the country to the state it was in before Vučić.

If Aleksandar Vučić were honest and responsible, he would resign, accept responsibility, and enable the formation of a transitional institutional framework that would pave the way for free and fair elections under conditions accepted by society as a whole.

Serbia does not need new conflicts.

Serbia needs the immediate resignation of Aleksandar Vučić!
