Vučić, Don’t Come to Novi Sad

If Serbia’s outgoing president has anything on his mind besides himself, his own ego, and his obligations to the interest groups that keep his government in power, he should cancel the rally in Novi Sad.

After Užice, it is perfectly clear to everyone what these SNS rallies produce: police cordons, party enforcers, thugs, and clashes.

Sixteen people died under the canopy in Novi Sad. Citizens are still waiting for full accountability.

And now you are bringing in buses to stage a rally of support?

Do you expect the police and party thugs to force people into gratitude? Are the polling numbers really that bad?

If you nevertheless go ahead with this rally, fully aware of the risk of new clashes, then no one will be able to say that you did not know what you were doing.

Don’t come. Don’t provoke. Don’t push Novi Sad into yet another confrontation just to prove that this is the only thing you know how to do.

Enough.
