This Is Not Another Condemnation – It Is a Promise

Everyone who assaulted citizens, everyone who beat students—known or unknown—will be held accountable. Violence committed in broad daylight, in front of witnesses and cameras, is not an isolated incident. It is a system. A system that we will dismantle.

The brutal physical attack that endangered the life of Professor Stevan Filipović of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts is yet another example of the criminal radicalism of the 1990s—the very same ideology that spent years beating, intimidating, and destroying lives. It must be brought to an end, once and for all.

The Citizens' Movement Solidarity demands:

• An immediate and thorough investigation to identify and prosecute those responsible.

• Protection for witnesses and preservation of all evidence.

• That the competent authorities stop turning a blind eye to organized violence carried out under political patronage.

We stand with Stevan Filipović and with all citizens fighting for dignity, justice, and freedom.
