We express our solidarity with the citizens of Venezuela who, under Maduro’s dictatorship, have lived in conditions of severe political repression, deep poverty, the collapse of institutions, and forced exile on a scale unprecedented in the contemporary history of Latin America.
We hope that Venezuela will be given the opportunity for democratic renewal, free elections, the restoration of social and labor rights, and a dignified life for the millions of people who have been victims of a government that ruled through brute force rather than legitimacy.
Citizens of Serbia living under Vučić’s regime can easily recognize these conditions.
We warn that unilateral external interventions, especially those driven by undisguised economic interests, represent an instrumentalization of others’ suffering and a violation of international norms.
The fight against dictatorships must be global, concrete, and effective, not a pretext for imperial redistribution of spheres of influence.
Solidarity with the oppressed and respect for international law must be inseparable, not opposing principles on which the world rests.
